Prof. Michiho Ito is an Associate Professor in Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyoto University.  Her Major is Pharmacognosy, especially as for medicinal plants.  One of her favorite methods for research is fieldwork, and she has many unique experiences in developing as well as advanced countries.  She has many appointments in Japanese pharmaceutical regulatory systems such as committees for pharmacopoeia, drug and food discrimination, and more.  She had been a Chair of SIG Natural Products in BPS of FIP from 2009 to 2017 and was awarded FIP Fellow in 2016.
